Tomorrow Took Too Long: a story of a girl who survived, tells the story of Jamila, a young girl whose once comfortable childhood was suddenly displaced into years of foster homes, abuse, depression and neglect.

This book shows that through the obstacles and flaws of the foster care system. Jamila maintained her determination to overcome barriers.

This inspirational book includes phenomenal works of poetry that Jamila wrote from her adolescence to young adulthood to convey her life tribulations and to encourage her to focus on succeeding.

Her words will encourage youth in the system trying to survive. That they can conquer through it all.

In supporting the campaign of National Foster Care Awareness a portion of the proceeds for each copy of Tomorrow Took Too Long purchased will be donated to Boys and Girls Clubs and Treehouse for Kids.
